About Junction's Location
Junction is located in a beautiful part of Utah. The town covers an area of about 13.65 square miles (35.35 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, but a small part is water.
Junction's Climate
Junction has a climate with big changes in temperature throughout the year. Summers are usually warm or hot, and sometimes a bit humid. Winters are cold, and can sometimes be very cold. This type of weather is known as a humid continental climate.
People of Junction
The number of people living in Junction has changed over the years. In 1890, there were 125 people. The population grew to 423 in 1910, but then it went down for many years. By 1990, only 132 people lived there. Since then, the population has slowly grown again, reaching 212 people in 2020.

Junction's Courthouse
The old courthouse in Junction was a historic building. It was located at the corner of two important roads, SR-153 and US-89 (Main Street).
Around 1980, a new building was built about a mile north of the old one. This new building serves as both a courthouse and a post office. It also holds the offices for Piute County.
