Ronan Kealy, born in 1993, is a talented Irish singer-songwriter. He is known by his stage name, Junior Brother. He creates a unique style of music called alternative folk, and he comes from County Kerry in Ireland.

Early Life
Ronan Kealy grew up in County Kerry, a beautiful part of Ireland. He went to St Brendan's College, Killarney for his schooling. Later, he studied English at University College Cork and Ballyfermot College of Further Education.
Music Career
Junior Brother moved to Dublin in 2014 to start his music career. His stage name, Junior Brother, comes from a character in an old play called The Revenger's Tragedy.
He quickly gained attention for his unique sound. In 2018, RTÉ named him one of their Rising Irish Stars. The Irish Times also listed him as an "Irish music contender ready to break through" in 2019.
First Album Success
Junior Brother's first album, Pull The Right Rope, was released in 2019. It was nominated for the Choice Music Prize, which is a big award in Irish music.
Music critics praised the album. Tony Clayton-Lea from The Irish Times said the songs were "full of wide-eyed wonders and keen observations." The music website The Last Mixed Tape called the album "a masterclass in the sheer joy of creation."
Junior Brother also appeared on popular TV shows. In March 2019, he was on The Tommy Tiernan Show. In April 2020, he performed on Other Voices (Irish TV series).
