Justice Elio Smith (born August 9, 1995) is an American actor. He is known for his exciting roles in popular movies. These include Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Detective Pikachu (2019). He also starred in All the Bright Places (2020). More recently, he appeared in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) and I Saw the TV Glow (2024).

Justice Smith was born in California. He grew up there and went to school. In 2013, he graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts. He performed in many shows around Orange County during his school years.
Justice Smith's Acting Career
Early Roles and Breakthrough
In 2014, Justice Smith started his acting career. He appeared in the Nickelodeon superhero comedy The Thundermans. He played a character named Angus in two episodes. He also appeared in the HBO documentary series Masterclass. You might have seen him in some VlogBrothers videos too.
In 2015, Smith got a supporting role in the movie Paper Towns. He played Marcus "Radar" Lincoln. The film was directed by Jake Schreier. It was released on July 24, 2015.
A big moment for Smith came in 2016. He landed the main role of Ezekiel Figuero in the Netflix musical drama The Get Down. For this role, he used a special acting method. He lived in an old apartment in the Bronx to understand his character better. The Get Down started in August 2016. It finished in April 2017.
Big Movie Roles
In 2017, Justice Smith was recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 List. This list features successful young people. In February 2018, he co-starred in the movie Every Day. He played Justin, the boyfriend of the main character.
A few months later, in June 2018, he played Franklin Webb in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This movie was a huge success. It became his first major breakthrough role.
Smith then starred in the 2019 movie Pokémon Detective Pikachu. This was a live-action film based on the popular video game. He also starred with Elle Fanning in All the Bright Places. This movie was based on a book. Filming for it began in late 2018.
Stage and Charity Work
In 2017, Smith also performed on stage in New York. He was in an Off-Broadway play called Yen. He acted alongside Lucas Hedges. The play ran at the Lucille Lortel Theater.
In 2020, Justice Smith took part in Acting for a Cause. This was a series of live play readings. Smith played Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest. He also played Dennis Ziegler in This is Our Youth. These readings helped raise money for charities. One charity was the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Justice Smith's Interests
Justice Smith is a big fan of Pokémon. His favorite Pokémon is Totodile. He has said in interviews that he still has his first-generation Pokémon trading cards.
