The story of K. C. Das Grandson begins a long time ago. In 1868, a man named Nobin Chandra Das from Kolkata experimented and created the very first Rossogolla. This sweet quickly became very popular.
How Rossogolla Became Famous
Nobin Chandra Das's son, K.C. Das, found a way to put the rasgulla into cans. This made it possible for people to buy and enjoy the sweets far and wide. His son, Sarada Charan Das, then officially started the family business as K.C.Das Private Limited. He helped the business grow a lot.
A New Path for the Family Business
In 1955, Sarada Charan Das's second son, Debendra Nath Das, decided to start his own sweet shop. He named his new Indian sweet shop "K. C. Das Grandson." He chose this name to honor his late grandfather, K. C. Das. This new shop was opened in Kalighat.
