A Sweet History
The Birth of Rossogolla
The story of K.C. Das Grandson begins with a sweet invention! In 1868, a man named Nobin Chandra Das from Kolkata created the very first Rossogolla. He experimented a lot to make this unique, spongy sweet.
Spreading the Sweetness
Nobin Chandra Das's son, K.C. Das, helped make the rossogolla even more popular. He found a way to put the sweets into cans. This meant that people could buy and enjoy rossogollas from many more places.
Later, K.C. Das's son, Sarada Charan Das, officially started the family business as K.C.Das Private Limited. He worked hard to help the company grow very quickly.
A New Beginning
In 1955, Sarada Charan Das's second son, Debendra Nath Das, decided to start his own sweet shop. He opened his store in Kalighat and named it "K. C. Das Grandson." He chose this name to honor his late grandfather, K.C. Das.
