KJ Smith (born Khaneshia JaNea Smith on May 6, 1985) is an American actress. She is best known for playing the character Andrea "Andi" Barnes in the popular TV show Sistas.

Early Life and Education

KJ Smith was born in Tallahassee, Florida. During high school, she was very active in sports as a cheerleader and a softball player.

After high school, she went to Florida State University. There, she studied Business Marketing and earned her bachelor's degree. She later studied journalism at Florida A&M University.

Acting Career

Smith started her acting career in 2009. At first, she appeared in short films and had small roles in TV shows. She was a guest star on many popular comedies and dramas.

Some of the shows she appeared on include It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Black-ish, and NCIS: Los Angeles. She also had a role in the TV movie Whitney about the singer Whitney Houston.

A big step in her career was a recurring role in the drama series Queen Sugar. She also appeared in other shows like Dynasty and The Fosters.
