Kaipara Flats is a small place, also called a locality, in the Rodney District of New Zealand. It is located about 12 kilometers east of Warkworth. Other nearby places include Ahuroa to the south and Tauhoa to the north-west. The North Auckland railway line runs right through this area.

Most people in Kaipara Flats work in farming, raising sheep and cattle. More recently, people have been buying "lifestyle blocks," which are smaller farms where they can live and enjoy the countryside. There is also an airfield nearby for the Rodney Aero Club.

In 1899, a special path for horses, called a bridle track, was made to Glorit on the Kaipara Harbour. The next year, part of this track was made better so that wagons could use it. The North Auckland railway line reached Kaipara Flats from Ahuroa in 1906, connecting the area by train.
