Kalanjoor is a village in the state of Kerala, India. It is located in the Pathanamthitta district, about 22 kilometers away from the district headquarters. Kalanjoor is part of the Konni Assembly and Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha areas. It also shares a border with the Kollam district.
The village has a mix of people from different religions. You will find Hindus, Christians (especially Syrian Christians), and Muslims living here. Kalanjoor is home to some famous landmarks. These include the Thrikkalanjoor Sree Mahadeva Temple and the St. George Valyapalli church. The temple is one of the biggest Shiva temples in the district. It is also an important stop for pilgrims going to Sabarimala. This is why Kalanjoor is sometimes called the "Southern Gateway of Sabarimala."
One of India's largest aqueducts also runs through Kalanjoor. This aqueduct is part of the Kallada Irrigation Project (KIP). Many people moved to this village because of the rubber plantations. A lot of people from Kalanjoor also work in other countries, mostly in the Middle East. The village also has a college, the College of Applied Science, which started in 2014.

Kudappara, Kalanjoor
Kudappara is a small Hindu temple located on top of a hill. It is a historic spot and a great place to enjoy the views. You can visit it in the morning or evening. It is about 800 meters from Kalanjoor Junction on the Kalanjoor - Padom road.
