A Stop on the Anza Expedition
Kane Spring has a cool history! In 1774, a famous group of explorers called the Anza Expedition stopped here. An expedition is a journey taken by a group of people for a specific purpose, like exploring new lands. The Anza Expedition was led by Juan Bautista de Anza, and they were exploring new routes through California. When they visited, they called the spring "San Anselmo."
