Kangana Lord Savimbi Ndiwa (born 28 February 1984) is a former professional football player. He played as a defender. Kangana played for clubs in England, Sweden, and Slovenia. He also played semi-professional football in England, Scotland, and Sweden.

Early Life and Background

Kangana Ndiwa was born on February 28, 1984, in Maquela do Zombo, Angola. When he was seven years old, he moved to Sweden. He holds dual citizenship, meaning he is a citizen of both Sweden and Congo.

Football Career Highlights

Playing in Sweden

Kangana started his career playing for the Swedish club Djurgårdens IF. In 2002, he was loaned to Värtans IK. This loan helped him get more experience playing in real matches. In 2003, he also had trials with big clubs like Celtic in Scotland and Rennes in France.

Time in English Football

Kangana later had a trial with Bolton Wanderers in England. He officially signed with them on January 31, 2003, for 18 months. Even though he was part of the team, he didn't play in any first-team matches for Bolton.

During his time at Bolton, he was loaned out twice to other clubs.

  • First, he joined Oldham Athletic. He made his debut in the Football League on August 9, 2003. He played four games for Oldham before going back to Bolton.
  • After that, he was loaned to Rochdale. He played one game for them as a substitute on February 7, 2004.

Bolton Wanderers released Kangana when his contract ended. After leaving Bolton, he had trials with other English clubs like Macclesfield Town and Queens Park Rangers. He then played one game for Stalybridge Celtic in January 2005.

Playing in Slovenia

In 2005, Kangana moved to Slovenia. He joined the club NK Drava Ptuj. He was part of their team squad, but he didn't play in any matches.

Short Stays in Scotland and England

After returning to the United Kingdom, Kangana had trials with Scarborough and Reading in 2006. He then played a few games for Worthing in England.

In November 2006, he moved to Scotland to play for Montrose. He played one match for them before leaving the club in December.

Kangana continued to play for non-league clubs in England. He joined Wealdstone in 2007 and played three matches. He also had a trial with Stoke City, playing for their reserve team.

In 2008, he joined Hednesford Town. He also had a trial with a Hungarian club, Ferencvárosi TC. Later, he trained with Radcliffe Borough.

Later Career with AFC Liverpool

In September 2008, Kangana joined AFC Liverpool. He made his debut on October 11, 2008, in a cup match. In his second game, he scored two goals, helping his team win 4–1. He also scored in his first league game. After playing three matches and scoring three goals, he left the club due to an injury.

In late 2009, he had trials with Lincoln City, but he was not offered a contract.

International Football

Representing Sweden

Kangana Ndiwa played for the Swedish national youth teams. He played for the Sweden U17 team and the U19 team. In total, he played 29 games for these youth teams and scored three goals.

Playing for DR Congo

Thanks to a rule change by UEFA, Kangana was able to play for the senior national team of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

He was part of the DR Congo team for the 2004 African Nations Cup. The team finished last in their group and did not move on to the next round. Kangana played as a substitute in their first game, which they lost 2–1 to Guinea.

He made a second appearance for DR Congo in a qualifying match for the 2008 World Cup. In June 2004, Uganda defeated Congo 1–0 in front of a large crowd of 45,000 fans.
