Karen Sylvia Doggenweiler Lapuente (born August 27, 1969) is a very well-known Chilean journalist and TV presenter. She has hosted many popular television shows in Chile.

Early Life and Family

Karen Doggenweiler was born in Santiago, Chile. Her family has roots in Switzerland, Germany, and Spain. She is married to Marco Enríquez-Ominami, who is a Chilean politician. A politician is someone who works in government or helps make laws for a country. Karen and Marco have a daughter named Manuela.

Starting Her TV Career

Karen began her television career at Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN), a major TV channel in Chile. She started by hosting a morning show with Felipe Camiroaga. This was the beginning of her long and successful career in television.

Hosting Popular Shows

Karen has hosted many different types of shows. In 2007, she hosted El Baile en TVN with Rafael Araneda. After a short break in early 2008, she quickly returned to TV. She hosted new shows like La Familia del Último Pasajero and Estrellas en el Hielo.

In 2009, Karen hosted Calle 7 with Martín Cárcamo. She also hosted Todos a Coro that year. She co-hosted the reality show Pelotón III with Rafael Araneda. Karen has continued to be a familiar face on Chilean television for many years.
