Karen Pittman is an American actress known for her roles in popular TV shows. She started her acting journey with smaller parts in shows like 30 Rock and Law & Order. Later, she got bigger roles in series such as The Americans and Luke Cage. Karen became very well-known for playing Mia Jordan in The Morning Show on Apple TV+. She also starred as Dr. Nya Wallace in And Just Like That... on HBO Max. Her acting in The Morning Show even earned her a nomination for a big award, the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Early Life and Education
Karen Pittman was born in Mississippi. She grew up in Nashville, Tennessee.
She studied at Northwestern University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Voice and Opera. Later, she received a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Graduate Acting Program.
Acting Career
Karen Pittman has played many different characters. She was Jory in the 2012 play Disgraced at Lincoln Center. On TV, she played Lisa in FX Network's The Americans. She also appeared as Inspector Priscilla Ridley in Netflix's Luke Cage.
Since 2019, Karen has been a main star in The Morning Show. This drama series is available on Apple TV+. For her work on this show, she and the cast were nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2022 and 2024. She also received nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
In 2021, she began starring as Dr. Nya Wallace in And Just Like That.... This is a comedy-drama series on HBO Max. She worked on both The Morning Show and And Just Like That... at the same time. In 2022, Karen took on her first main role in a movie. It was a romantic drama called Unthinkably Good Things. She also starred with Corey Stoll in the crime drama film What We Do Next.
