Corey Stoll is an American actor born on March 14, 1976. He is well-known for playing Congressman Peter Russo in the Netflix TV show House of Cards. For this role, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2013. He also starred as Dr. Ephraim Goodweather in the FX series The Strain.
From 2020 to 2023, Corey Stoll played Michael Prince, a business rival, in the Showtime series Billions. He was also a regular on the NBC show Law & Order: LA. You might also know him as Darren Cross, who became Yellowjacket and M.O.D.O.K., in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023).

About Corey Stoll's Early Life and School
Corey Stoll was born in Manhattan, New York City. His parents are Judith and Stephen Stoll. His father helped start The Beacon School. Corey grew up in a Jewish family.
He started studying drama at Long Lake Camp for the Arts when he was 12, from 1988 to 1992. He then went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, which is a famous school for arts. After high school, he graduated from Oberlin College in 1998. He then went on to get his Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2003.
Corey Stoll's Acting Career
Corey Stoll first acted on Broadway in 2003. He was part of the play Henry IV by William Shakespeare. The next year, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his role in the play Intimate Apparel (2004), where he acted alongside Viola Davis.
He appeared in several movies, including North Country (2005) and Lucky Number Slevin (2006). In 2010, he was in the action movie Salt. He also played Marco in the Broadway play A View from the Bridge, acting with Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson.
Corey Stoll played Detective Tomas Jaruszalski in the NBC police show Law & Order: LA. In 2011, he played Ernest Hemingway in the movie Midnight in Paris. He even wore a special wig for this role because he is mostly bald. His performance earned him a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award.
In 2013, he received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role in the Netflix series House of Cards. After that, he joined the FX TV series The Strain, which is based on books by Chuck Hogan and director Guillermo del Toro.
In 2015, Corey Stoll had a big role as the villain Darren Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, in the superhero movie Ant-Man. He later returned as Darren Cross/M.O.D.O.K. in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2023. He also reunited with director Woody Allen in the 2016 movie Café Society. In 2016, he played the clever Greek warrior Ulysses in a play called Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare in Central Park.
Since 2020, he has been playing Michael Prince in the Showtime series Billions. In 2023, he returned to Broadway in the play Appropriate and was nominated for a Tony Award.

Corey Stoll got engaged to actress Nadia Bowers in October 2014. They got married on June 21, 2015. They welcomed their first child in October 2015.
