Corey Daniel Stoll (born March 14, 1976) is an American actor. He is known for playing many different characters in movies and TV shows. You might know him as Congressman Peter Russo in the TV series House of Cards. For this role, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2013.

He also played Dr. Ephraim Goodweather in the horror series The Strain. From 2020 to 2023, he was Michael Prince in the show Billions. Corey Stoll has also been in big movies like Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), where he played the villain Darren Cross, also known as Yellowjacket and M.O.D.O.K. He was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his role as Ernest Hemingway in the movie Midnight in Paris (2011).

Corey Daniel Stoll was born in New York City on March 14, 1976. His parents are Judith and Stephen Stoll. His father helped start a school called The Beacon School. Corey grew up in a Jewish family.

He loved drama from a young age. He studied acting at Long Lake Camp for the Arts from 1988 to 1992. Later, he went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, which is a famous school for arts. After high school, he went to Oberlin College and graduated in 1998. He then continued his acting studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, finishing in 2003.

Corey Stoll started his acting career on Broadway in 2003. His first role was in a play by William Shakespeare called Henry IV. The next year, he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for his role in the play Intimate Apparel. He acted alongside Viola Davis, who is a very famous actress.

He appeared in several films early in his career. These included North Country (2005) and Lucky Number Slevin (2006). In 2010, he was in the action movie Salt. He also returned to Broadway to act in the play A View from the Bridge with Liev Schreiber and Scarlett Johansson.

Corey Stoll became well-known for his TV roles. He played Detective Tomas Jaruszalski in the police drama Law & Order: LA. In 2011, he played the famous writer Ernest Hemingway in the movie Midnight in Paris. People really liked his performance, and he was nominated for an award. Fun fact: Corey Stoll is mostly bald, so he wore a special wig for his role as Hemingway!

In 2013, he got a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role as Peter Russo in the Netflix series House of Cards. He then joined the TV show The Strain, a horror series based on popular novels.

In 2015, Corey Stoll took on a big role as the villain Yellowjacket (Darren Cross) in the superhero movie Ant-Man. Corey Stoll is married to actress Nadia Bowers. They got engaged in October 2014 and were married on June 21, 2015. They welcomed their first child in October 2015.
