Karolína Peake (born Karolína Kvačková on 10 October 1975) is a Czech politician and lawyer. She served as the Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from 2011 to 2013. This was part of the government led by Prime Minister Petr Nečas.

Early Life and Education
Karolína Peake studied at Charles University in Prague. She graduated from the Faculty of Law in 1999. During her university years, from 1997 to 1998, she was a member of the Civic Democratic Party. After finishing her studies, she worked as a trainee lawyer. She also took five years off to raise her two sons, Sebastian and Theodor.
Starting in Politics
After her break, Karolína Peake became involved in local politics. She helped with campaigns to protect a local park. She also worked to expand playgrounds for children in her area. In 2006, she was elected to the town council of Prague 1. She represented a political group called Public Affairs.
National Politics and Key Roles
In the 2010 election, Karolína Peake was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. This is like the main parliament in the Czech Republic. She represented the Public Affairs party. In April 2012, she and seven other members left Public Affairs. They then started a new political party called LIDEM. The name LIDEM means "for the people" in Czech. It also stands for "Liberal Democrats."
In December 2012, she was appointed Minister of Defense. However, she was dismissed by Prime Minister Petr Nečas just eight days later. This happened because of disagreements over changes she made in the ministry.
Other Activities
Karolína Peake is a member of the Prague Society for International Cooperation. This group works to connect future leaders and public figures from different countries. It also aims to fight against corruption.
