Early Life and Music Beginnings
Karyn White was born in Los Angeles, California. She was the youngest of five children. From a young age, she loved to sing. She started by singing in a church choir. Later, she worked as a backing singer for other artists. Before becoming a solo star, she sang on some songs for Jeff Lorber in 1986. Soon after, she signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records.

Karyn White's first album, named Karyn White, came out in 1988. It was a huge success, selling over a million copies in the U.S. This album featured many popular songs. Personal Life
Karyn White married Terry Lewis in 1992. They had a daughter named Ashley Nicole and also adopted a son, Brandon. The couple later separated in 1999. Karyn White also had a relationship with musician Al B. Sure! starting in 2012.
Besides her music and acting career, Karyn White also lived in Rocklin, California. There, she ran a successful business focused on interior design and real estate.
