Katherine LaNasa (born December 1, 1966) is an American actress, dancer, and choreographer. She is known for her many roles in movies and television shows. Since 2025, she has played Nurse Dana Evans in the medical drama series The Pitt. For this role, she received her first Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
LaNasa has also appeared in movies like Jayne Mansfield's Car, The Campaign, and The Frozen Ground. On television, she has had main roles in several shows. These include the comedy Three Sisters and the musical series Katy Keene. She also had important recurring roles on shows like Judging Amy, Two and a Half Men, and Longmire.
Early Life and Dance
Katherine LaNasa was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her mother was Anne Hardin, and her father was Dr. James J. LaNasa Jr., a surgeon.
She discovered her love for dancing when she was 12 years old. At age 14, she was accepted into the North Carolina School of the Arts. This is a special school for students who are talented in the arts. After her studies, she became a professional dancer. She performed with dance companies like the Milwaukee Ballet and Ballet West.
Acting Career
LaNasa began her career in the entertainment industry as a choreographer. In 1989, she helped plan the dance scenes for the movie Rooftops. She made her first movie appearance in 1990 with a small part in the film Catchfire.
Television Roles
Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, LaNasa appeared as a guest star on many popular TV shows. These included Seinfeld, Touched by an Angel, Grey's Anatomy, and House.
In 2001, she got a main role in the NBC comedy series Three Sisters. She played Bess Bernstein-Flynn Keats for two seasons until the show ended in 2002. She later had recurring roles in several other series, meaning she appeared in multiple episodes. Some of these shows were Judging Amy, NYPD Blue, and Big Love.
In 2013, LaNasa starred in the drama series Deception as a wealthy woman named Sophia Bowers. From 2014 to 2015, she played a character named Adriana in the USA Network show Satisfaction. From 2017 to 2018, she was a main character in the comedy series Imposters. In 2020, she played Gloria Grandbilt in the CW series Katy Keene.

In 1998, she married actor French Stewart. They had met when she was a guest star on his TV show, 3rd Rock from the Sun. They divorced in 2009.
LaNasa married actor Grant Show on August 18, 2012. They have a daughter, Eloise McCue, who was born on March 21, 2014.
