Katrina Lanette Pierson (born July 20, 1976) is an American activist and communications expert. She is known for being the national spokesperson for Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. In May 2024, she won the Republican primary runoff for the Texas House of Representatives in the 33rd District. She will begin her term in January 2025.

Early Life and Education
Katrina Pierson was born in Wichita, Kansas. Her mother raised her as a single parent, and they faced financial challenges.
Pierson attended Kilgore College, where she earned an associate of science degree. Later, in 2006, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Political Journey
Early Political Work
Pierson became active in politics in 2009, joining the Republican Tea Party movement. This movement focused on reducing government spending and taxes. She even started a local Tea Party group in Garland, Texas. In 2012, she supported Ted Cruz during his campaign for the U.S. Senate in Texas.
Running for Congress
In 2014, Pierson ran for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in Texas. She challenged the current congressman, Pete Sessions, in the Republican primary. She received support from notable political figures like Sarah Palin. However, she did not win the primary election.
Working with Donald Trump
In 2015, Katrina Pierson was hired as the national spokesperson for Donald Trump's presidential campaign. In this role, she often appeared on television to discuss and defend Trump's views. After the 2016 election, she continued to work with pro-Trump groups. In 2018, she became a senior adviser for the Trump 2020 campaign.
Recent Political Activities
After the 2020 election, Pierson was involved in organizing a rally called "Save America" in Washington D.C. This event took place before a significant event at the U.S. Capitol in January 2021.
In 2024, Pierson decided to run for the Texas House of Representatives in the 33rd district. She challenged the person currently holding the seat, Justin Holland. In the primary election, she came in first, leading to a runoff election in May. Pierson won the runoff election, meaning she will represent the 33rd district in the Texas House of Representatives.
