Katy Cavanagh, whose full name is Kathryn Sarah Collins Jupe, is an English actress. She was born on December 12, 1973. Katy is famous for playing the character Julie Carp in the TV show Coronation Street. She was on the show from 2008 to 2015 and will return in 2025.
She also had important roles in other TV dramas. These include The Cops (1998–2001) and Bob & Rose (2001). In 2017, she was in a funny TV movie called Murder on the Blackpool Express.

Katy's Early Life and Education
Katy Cavanagh was born in North Shields, England. Her mother, Anne, taught drama. Her father, Geoff, was a headmaster. Katy grew up in Bolton, Lancashire.
She went to Canon Slade School. Later, she trained to be an actress. She studied at the RADA and the National Youth Theatre.
Katy's Acting Career
Katy Cavanagh started acting on British television in 1997. From 1998 to 2001, she played Mel in the show The Cops. In 2004, she had a regular role as Sergeant Dawn "Spike" Milligan in Dalziel and Pascoe.
In 2006, she appeared in an episode of Shameless. She played a character named Shirley Lawson. In 2008, Katy joined the popular TV show Coronation Street. She became well-known for playing Julie Carp.
In February 2015, it was announced that Katy would leave Coronation Street. She wanted to try other acting projects. Her last episode aired on July 3, 2015. However, Katy will return to Coronation Street in 2025. This return will help with the story of another character leaving the show.
Katy's Family Life
Katy Cavanagh is married to a filmmaker named Chris Jupe. They have three children together. Their oldest child is Noah, who was born in 2005. Noah is also an actor.
Their other children are Jemima, born in 2007, and Jacobi, born in 2013.
