Kawan Kawmi "KP" Prather, born on March 30, 1973, is an American music executive. He helps artists create and release their music. He started his career in 1991 as a DJ for a hip hop group called Parental Advisory (P.A.). This group was part of a bigger music family known as Dungeon Family.

P.A. was discovered by music legends Pebbles and L.A. Reid. They were the first group from the Dungeon Family to sign a big record deal with LaFace Records in the late 1990s. Through this, Prather started his own record label called Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment. During this time, he worked on albums for many famous artists at LaFace. These included TLC, OutKast, Goodie Mob, Usher, Pink, and Toni Braxton.

Prather's Ghet-O-Vision label helped sign hip hop groups like YoungBloodZ and T.I. through LaFace Records by 1999. He also signed rapper Yelawolf through Interscope Records in 2008. His label released the first albums for YoungBloodZ, called Against da Grain (1999), and for T.I., called I'm Serious (2001).

He held important roles at several major record companies. From 1999 to 2001, he was the Vice President of A&R at Arista Records. Then, from 2002 to 2005, he had a similar job at Columbia Records. Later, from 2012 to 2015, he was the Senior Vice President of A&R at Island Def Jam. During this time, he signed the talented R&B singer Khalil when he was just 15 years old. In 2015, he became the Head of Music at Pharrell Williams' company, I Am Other.
