Kazuya Matsuda was born in Higashiosaka, Japan. After finishing high school, he began his professional sports journey.
Playing Football for Gamba Osaka
In 1993, Kazuya Matsuda joined his hometown team, Gamba Osaka. This team plays in Japan's top football league. He played as a Midfielder. A midfielder helps both attack and defense on the field. During his time at Gamba Osaka, he played in 13 matches.
Moving to New Football Teams
In 1996, Matsuda moved to a different club called Albirex Niigata. This team was in a lower league at that time. He played there for two years. In 1998, he joined another team called Sagawa Express Osaka. He played for them for one season. Kazuya Matsuda stopped playing professional football at the end of 1998.
Switching to Futsal
After his football career, Kazuya Matsuda started playing futsal. Futsal is a type of indoor football. It is played on a smaller court with fewer players. He became very skilled at futsal. He even played for the Japan national futsal team. He retired from playing futsal in 2011.
