Kealia is a small place on the island of Kauai in Hawaii, United States. Its name means "the salt encrustation" in the Hawaiian language. It is an unincorporated community. This means it is a settlement that does not have its own local government. Instead, it is part of the larger Kauai County.
Kealia is very close to sea level. It is only about 16 feet (5 meters) above the ocean. In 1914, the United States Board on Geographic Names officially gave it the name "Kealia." This board helps make sure all places in the U.S. have clear, official names. Kealia also has its own post office with the ZIP code 96751.
