This township is mostly a farming area. However, many people visit in the summer. They stay in cottages or at resorts in the Sister Lakes area. This area is in the southwest part of the township. The Sister Lakes area has the most shops and businesses in Keeler Township. Part of this area also goes into Silver Creek Township in Cass County.
The main offices for the township are in a place called Keeler. You can also find some stores there.

In 1964, the Sister Lakes area became famous across the country. This happened when a local person said they saw a creature like Bigfoot. ABC News even reported on it. Many people who hunt for monsters came to the area after this sighting.
