The Kehewin Cree Nation (Cree: ᑭᐦᐁᐤ ᓀᐦᐃᔭᐤ ᐊᐢᑭᐩ, kihêw nehiyaw askiy) is a self-governing group of First Nations people. They live in northern Alberta, a province in Canada. The Kehewin Cree Nation is part of the larger Cree people.

Who are the Kehewin Cree Nation?
The Kehewin Cree Nation is a community of Indigenous people. They are known in their own language as kihêw nehiyaw askiy. This means "Kehewin Cree Land." They are one of many First Nations groups in Canada.
Their Land and Reserves
The Kehewin Cree Nation has its own land called a reserve. Their main reserve is named Kehewin 123. This is where many members of the Nation live. The total area of their land is about 83.2 square kilometers.
They also share ownership of another reserve. This reserve is called Blue Quills. Sharing land is a way for different First Nations to work together.
How Many People Live There?
In 2019, there were 1183 people living on the Kehewin 123 reserve. Other members of the Kehewin Cree Nation live in different places. About 1057 members live off the reserve.

The Kehewin Cree Nation is a group that signed Treaty 6. Treaties are special agreements between First Nations and the Canadian government. Treaty 6 was signed a long time ago, in 1876.
