Keiichi Zaizen (財前 恵一, Zaizen Keiichi, born June 17, 1968) is a former football player and manager from Japan. He was born on June 17, 1968. His younger brother, Nobuyuki, also played football professionally.

Playing Career Highlights

Keiichi Zaizen began his football journey after finishing high school. In 1987, he joined a team called Nissan Motors. This team later became known as Yokohama F. Marinos. He played as a Midfielder.

During his time as a player, Zaizen also played for other teams. He was with Kashiwa Reysol in 1994 for a short time. Later, in 1996, he played for Consadole Sapporo. He retired from playing professional football at the end of the 1996 season.

Zaizen was part of successful teams during his playing career. With Nissan Motors (Yokohama Marinos), he won the Japan Soccer League twice. He also helped his team win the JSL Cup three times and the Emperor's Cup four times. In 1995, his team also won the J1 League.

Coaching and Managerial Roles

After he stopped playing, Keiichi Zaizen started a new career as a coach. In 1997, he returned to Consadole Sapporo, where he had played before. For many years, until 2009, he mostly coached the youth teams. This means he helped young players develop their skills.

In 2010, Zaizen moved to another club, Avispa Fukuoka. There, he continued to manage youth teams until 2012. His experience with young talent prepared him for bigger roles.

In 2013, he came back to Consadole Sapporo. This time, he became the manager for the club's main professional team. He led the team for a while, but his time as manager ended in August 2014.
