Keith Morrison (born July 2, 1947) is a well-known Canadian journalist. Since 1995, he has been a correspondent for the TV show Dateline NBC. He is famous for his unique way of telling stories, especially about mysteries.

Keith Morrison's Career Journey
Keith Morrison began his career in the 1960s. He started as a reporter and news anchor. He worked at local TV stations in Canadian cities like Saskatchewan, Vancouver, and Toronto.
Working at CTV and CBC
In 1973, Morrison joined CTV's Canada AM. He was a newsreader and also worked as a reporter and producer. He won awards for his reporting on the Yom Kippur War. From 1975 to 1979, he reported for CTV National News. He also filled in as an anchor.
Morrison then moved to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 1982. He was a substitute anchor for The Journal. This was the network's nightly news program. He also helped create and co-host Midday, a noon-hour news show.
Moving to NBC News
In 1986, Keith Morrison moved to Los Angeles. He became a news anchor for KNBC-TV. In 1988, he joined NBC News. He worked as a correspondent for NBC Nightly News and the Today Show. He reported on important events, like the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. He also made documentaries for NBC programs.
Returning to Canada and Back to NBC
Morrison went back to Canada in 1992. He became a co-anchor for Canada AM on CTV again. He also hosted The Editors on PBS. He was a strong candidate to become the main anchor for CTV National News.
In 1995, he returned to NBC. He became a correspondent for Dateline NBC. This is the position he still holds today. He even appeared as a newscaster in an episode of the TV show Seinfeld.

In 1981, Keith Morrison married Suzanne Perry (whose maiden name was Langford). Suzanne is a writer and worked as a press secretary for former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.

Keith Morrison's reporting style has been copied for fun on TV shows. Bill Hader from Saturday Night Live is well-known for his impression of Morrison. Hader once joked that he was scared of meeting Morrison in an elevator. This is because both Dateline NBC and Saturday Night Live are made in the same building.
However, they did meet during an interview. Hader said, "I can't give him pointers, he's the master." He added, "I don't know how you get better than Keith Morrison."
