Kenneth Robert Dunek (born June 20, 1957) is a former professional American football player. He played as a tight end for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL). He also played for the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars in the United States Football League (USFL).
From Basketball to Football
Ken Dunek went to college at Memphis State. This school is now known as the University of Memphis. He first played basketball there as a forward.
In his senior year, Ken decided to try football. He hoped to play in the NFL. This was a big change for him!
Playing Professional Football
In 1980, Ken Dunek joined the Philadelphia Eagles. He played as a tight end for one season. A tight end is a player who can block for runners and catch passes.
Later, he played for the Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars. This team was part of the United States Football League (USFL). The USFL was a professional football league that ran from 1983 to 1985.
Life After Football
After his football career, Ken Dunek became very busy. He now lives in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
