Early Life and Education
Kenan İmirzalıoğlu was born on April 10, 1974, in a village called Üçem, in the Balâ district of Ankara, Turkey. His family has a long history in the region.
He lived in Üçem village until he was 12 years old. After that, he moved to Ankara to live with his aunt. He finished his middle school and high school education there. Later, he went to Yıldız Technical University to study mathematics.
A Star is Born: Modeling and First Roles
Kenan started modeling while he was still at university. In 1997, he won the "Best Model of Turkey" competition. In the same year, he also won the "Best Model of the World" title.
These wins helped him get noticed by Osman Sınav, a well-known producer and writer. Kenan got his first acting role as the main character in Osman Sınav's TV series, Crazy Heart. This show made him famous across Turkey. In 2001, he played the same character in the movie Deli Yürek: Bumerang Cehennemi.
Rising to Fame: Popular TV Shows and Movies
From 2003 to 2005, Kenan starred with Uğur Yücel in the detective series Alacakaranlık. He then played a character named Cevher in the movie Toss-Up (2004). For this role, he won several "best actor" awards at different film festivals.
He continued to work with Osman Sınav in the drama series Acı Hayat, which aired from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, he played Ali in The Last Ottoman, a movie based on a cartoon. That same year, he starred with Şener Şen in For Love and Honor, where he played a villain for the first time.
In 2009, Kenan played Akrep Celal in the movie Dragon Trap. He became incredibly popular in Turkey for his role as Ezel Bayraktar in the TV series Ezel, which ran from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, he starred in the movie Uzun Hikâye.

Personal Life
Kenan İmirzalıoğlu was good friends with the late actor Tuncel Kurtiz. They worked together on many TV shows, including Ezel. Kenan often spent time with him.
He dated his co-star Zeynep Beşerler for six years, after they met on the TV series Alacakaranlık.
On May 14, 2016, Kenan İmirzalıoğlu married actress Sinem Kobal. They have two daughters. Their first daughter, Lalin, was born in October 2020. Their second daughter, Leyla, was born in May 2022.
