Kenneth Lee Parker (born in 1972) is an American lawyer. He served as the United States Attorney for a part of Ohio called the Southern District. A U.S. Attorney is the main lawyer for the United States government in their local area. Parker held this important job from 2021 to 2025.
Education and Early Life
Kenneth Parker was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a very good student in college. In 1994, he graduated magna cum laude from Tuskegee University. This is a special honor that means he earned very high grades.
After college, he went to law school. He earned his Juris Doctor, which is a degree for lawyers, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 1997.
Legal Career
After finishing law school, Parker began his career in law. From 1997 to 1999, he worked as a law clerk for Judge S. Arthur Spiegel. A law clerk helps a judge with research and writing.
In 1999, he started working as an Assistant United States Attorney in Ohio. He held this job for over 20 years. During that time, he also taught law at the University of Cincinnati College of Law from 2003 to 2005.

In 2021, President Joe Biden chose Parker to become the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio. The United States Senate had to approve this choice. They confirmed his new role on November 19, 2021.
Parker was officially sworn into office on November 23, 2021. He became the lead government lawyer for his district. He replaced Vipal J. Patel, who had been the acting U.S. Attorney.
His time in this role ended on February 18, 2025. He was replaced by his first assistant, Kelly A. Norris, who took over as the acting U.S. Attorney.
