Early Life and College Career
Kenny Fields was born in Iowa City, Iowa. He went to Verbum Dei High School in Los Angeles, California. In high school, he was recognized as a talented player. In 1980, he was named a Second-team Parade All-American.
After high school, Kenny went to UCLA to play college basketball. He played for the UCLA Bruins from 1980 to 1984. He was a very successful college player. In 1983, he was named the Pac-10 Player of the Year. He was also chosen for the First-team All-Pac-10 three times, from 1982 to 1984. In 1983, he was named a Third-team All-American by the Associated Press.
Playing in the NBA
