From 2000, Kentaro played in a few matches for Kyoto Purple Sanga. However, he didn't get to play very often. He was a young player trying to make his mark in a big league.
Moving to Mito HollyHock
In 2002, Kentaro moved to Mito HollyHock, a club in the J2 League. This league is the second highest division of professional football in Japan. At Mito HollyHock, he played in many matches during 2002. He was a regular player for the team. But from 2003, his chances to play became less frequent.
Time at Tochigi SC
