Kentin Mahé's Early Life
Kentin Mahé was born in Paris, France. He started playing handball when he was just six years old. His first club was AS Monaco. Later, he briefly played for ASPTT Nice.
In 2000, Kentin moved to Germany. His father, Pascal Mahé, was also a handball player. His father took on different coaching jobs in Germany, which is why they moved. Kentin grew up there and continued to play handball.
Kentin's grandmother is from Sweden. When he was 18, in 2008, he lived in Stockholm for four months. During this time, he played youth handball for Hammarby IF. This club was the national champion at the time.
His Professional Handball Career
Kentin Mahé returned to Germany in 2009. He began his professional career with DHC Rheinland. After that, he played for other well-known German clubs. These included VfL Gummersbach and HSV Hamburg.
In 2015, Kentin joined SG Flensburg-Handewitt, a top German club. Here, he became a world-class player. He played under the coach Ljubomir Vranjes. On July 1, 2018, he moved to the Hungarian club Telekom Veszprém. He played there until 2024, when he returned to VfL Gummersbach.
