Kerrin Petty-Nilsson was born on January 6, 1970, in Townshend, Vermont, United States. She is a talented cross-country skier who has competed for both the United States and Sweden.

After skiing for the University of Vermont, Kerrin represented the United States in the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. She also competed in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan.

Kerrin Petty-Nilsson achieved a big win in 1998 when she won the main women's race at Vasaloppet. This is a very famous long-distance ski race in Sweden. She also won unofficial women's races at Vasaloppet in 1994 and 1996.
