Keung To (Chinese: 姜濤; born April 30, 1999) is a famous singer, actor, and dancer from Hong Kong. He is also a member of the popular boy band Mirror. Keung To became well-known after winning a TV talent show called Good Night Show - King Maker in 2018. He started his solo music career in June 2019 with his first song, "No. 1 Seed." His fans have a special name for themselves: "Ginger Candy."
Keung To has won many awards, including My Favourite Male Singer and My Favourite Song at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation multiple times. He is the youngest person ever to achieve these awards.

Early Life and School
Keung To was born in Hong Kong on April 30, 1999. He grew up as an only child. He went to several schools, including Oi Kwan Road Baptist Church Lui Kwok Pat Fong Kindergarten and Tang Shiu Kin Victoria Government Secondary School. He later earned a diploma from Yeo Chei Man Senior Secondary School.
In 2017, before he became famous in Hong Kong, Keung To joined a talent show in Mainland China called Super Boy. He did very well, becoming one of the top four representatives from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. He made it into the top 30 contestants in the show.
Music Career Highlights
Joining Mirror: 2018 to Today
In 2018, Keung To joined the TV talent show Good Night Show - King Maker by ViuTV. He was contestant number 99. On October 14, he won the competition with the highest score, based on votes from judges and the public.
Soon after, on November 3, 2018, Keung To became a member of the new boy band, Mirror. The group officially started with their first song, "In a Second."
Solo Music Journey: 2019-2021
In June 2019, Keung To released his first solo song, "Seed No.1." It quickly became popular, reaching third place on music charts. In July, he held his first solo concert, and all the tickets sold out very fast! His next songs, "Atlantis" and "A Little More A Day," also did well on the Hong Kong music charts.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic changed his plans to film a music video in South Korea. Because of the pandemic, Keung To released a song called "The Love Without Words." Its music video showed how the pandemic affected people's lives in Hong Kong. This song won Most Popular Song at the 2020 Ultimate Song Chart Awards. Keung To also won Most Popular Male Singer that year.
Later in 2020, he released "Disease of Loneliness," a sad song about his personal feelings. He even helped create the idea for its music video, which was filmed in one continuous shot. In November, he released "Love Visa Application," which was recorded in Taiwan. Keung To helped write the lyrics and the story for this song's music video.
In March 2021, Keung To released "Master Class," a mix of Reggaeton and Blues music, which fans loved. In May 2021, "Master Class" became his first song to reach number one on four different Hong Kong music charts. His next song, "Dear My Friend," released in August 2021, was a sad song about losing his friend Kin Lam. This song was number one on streaming charts for four weeks and won Most Popular Song at the 2021 Ultimate Song Chart Awards. This made him the only artist to win both Most Popular Song and Most Popular Male Singer two years in a row.
Time for Reflection: 2021-2023
In September 2021, Keung To started a new project that included a mini-documentary series on Mirror's YouTube channel. He wanted to show his true self and talk about the pressure he felt and how it affected his feelings. His ninth solo song, "Spiegel Im Spiegel," was first performed in December 2021. In this performance, he used a dance style called krumping to show his feelings of loneliness and doubt that came with being famous.
He also worked with singer AGA on a song called "I Know," which was his first duet with a female singer.
For his 23rd birthday in April 2022, Keung To released his 10th solo song, "What the Work Says." This song was about peace and against war, inspired by the conflict in Ukraine. Keung To also directed the music video, which was nominated for best music video at the Asian Television Awards.
In July 2022, Mirror's activities paused after a serious accident at their concert. Keung To and the other members took a break. They returned in October 2022 to promote a TV series. However, in November, Keung To had an accident during a basketball game, hurting his knee and heel. He needed surgery and a long time to recover.
Even with his break and injuries, Keung To still won awards. His song "Spiegel Im Spiegel" was in the Top 10 Ultimate Songs, and "What the Work Says" won My Favourite Song. When he performed after his surgery, some people criticized him online.
In response, Keung To released his 11th song, "Dummy." This song was about staying humble and not letting negative comments get to him. He said that the criticism helped him see his own weaknesses and improve. He performed "Dummy" live in April 2023, calling it one of the most important performances of his career.
First Solo Concert and Growing Popularity: 2023 to Today
Keung To held his first big solo concert series, "Waves: In my sight 2023," in August 2023. All four shows were sold out! He released a song called "Ocean" as the main song for these concerts. He also worked with a famous choreographer, Mui Cheuk-Yin, to create a special opening dance that mixed modern and Chinese styles. "Ocean" won the My Favourite Song Award in 2023 with a record number of votes, making it his fourth win in a row for this award.
At his concert, Keung To also performed two new songs: "You are out of this world," a thank-you to his fans, and "Every Single Time," a love song.
In November 2023, he released his 13th solo song, "The Irregulars." The music video for this song was filmed mostly in Taiwan and continued a story from his earlier song, "Love Visa Application."
Keung To then released his 14th song, "Dark Moon," which talks about human nature and resisting bad desires. This was his first time working with producer T-Ma.
In February 2024, Keung To worked with Gareth Tong and Singaporean singer Gentle Bones on an English and Mandarin song called "Bread and Better." The music video was released on HSBC Singapore's YouTube channel.
On his 25th birthday, April 30, 2024, Keung To released "You are out of this world" as a gift to his fans. "Every Single Time" was released on August 7, 2024.
Acting Roles
Keung To started acting in the TV series Retire to Queen in 2019. He also had a small role in the youth drama We are the Littles in 2020. In January 2021, he starred in the drama Ink at Tai Ping.
He filmed a Taiwanese drama called Sometimes When We Touch in 2020, which aired in August 2021. Keung To also made his movie debut in Mama's Affair in 2022, where he acted alongside Teresa Mo.
In 2023, Keung To played a Taiwanese student named Jack in the film My Heavenly City. In 2024, he had a special appearance in the movie The Moon Thieves and starred in the action comedy We 12 with other members of Mirror.
