Kevin Patrick Curran (born February 27, 1957 – died October 25, 2016) was an American writer who created funny TV shows. He wrote for famous shows like Late Night with David Letterman, Married... with Children, and The Simpsons. He also provided the voice for Buck the Dog on Married... with Children. (Sometimes, Buck was voiced by Cheech Marin instead.)
In one episode of Married... with Children, called "Psychic Avengers," Kevin Curran appeared on screen. This happened when the Bundy family turned into chimpanzees and Buck the dog became a human. Curran was listed as "Buck the Man" in the credits. Besides writing episodes and voicing Buck, Curran also helped manage the stories and produce the show.

Kevin Curran's Life Story
Kevin Curran went to Harvard College. While he was there, he worked as an editor for the Harvard Lampoon, a well-known humor magazine. Later, he wrote for the National Lampoon magazine. He was also in charge of the letters and cartoon sections.
Working with David Letterman
Curran also wrote for the TV show Late Night with David Letterman. For his work on this show, he won three Emmy Awards. These awards celebrate excellence in television. He even wrote David Letterman's very first "Top Ten List." It was called "The Top 10 Things That Almost Rhyme With Peas."
Joining Popular TV Shows
In 1989, Kevin Curran began working on Married... with Children. Then, in 2000, he joined the team for The Simpsons. On The Simpsons, he was a co-executive producer. This means he helped manage the show's production.
He won three more Emmy Awards for his work on The Simpsons. In 2010, he was nominated for a Humanitas Prize. This award honors writers whose work promotes human dignity. He was nominated for his episode "The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed".
Other TV Projects
Curran also helped create and produce other TV shows. These included The Good Life and Hardball. He was also an executive producer for the series Unhappily Ever After from 1997 to 1999. He won a WGA Award for his work on The Earth Day Special.
Kevin Curran had two children with author Helen Fielding. He passed away on October 25, 2016, at the age of 59, due to cancer.
