Kevin Jonathan Dallman (Kazakh: Кевин Даллмэн; born February 26, 1981) is a former professional ice hockey defenceman. A defenceman is a player who helps protect their team's goal. Kevin is from Canada but also became a citizen of Kazakhstan and played for their national team. He played for many teams during his career, including those in the NHL and the KHL. He most recently played for Barys Astana in the KHL.

Kevin's Hockey Journey
Kevin Dallman started playing hockey when he was young. He even played in a big tournament called the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament in 1995. This tournament is for young hockey players from all over the world.
Starting His Professional Career
After playing well in junior hockey with the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League, Kevin signed his first professional contract. He joined the Boston Bruins in 2002. He spent three years playing for their minor league team, the Providence Bruins, before making his debut with the Boston Bruins in the 2005–06 season.
Moving Through the NHL
Kevin played 21 games for the Bruins. Then, another team, the St. Louis Blues, picked him up in December 2005. After playing well for the Blues, Kevin signed with the Los Angeles Kings in 2006. He played for the Kings for two years.
Playing in the KHL and for Kazakhstan
In 2008, Kevin decided to play hockey in Europe. He signed with Barys Astana in the new Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The KHL is a major ice hockey league in Europe and Asia. Kevin became a very important player for Barys Astana. He was one of the best defencemen in the KHL, scoring many goals and assists.
In 2010, Kevin became a citizen of Kazakhstan. This meant he could play for the Kazakhstan national team. His first big international tournament for Kazakhstan was an Olympic qualifying tournament in 2013. He also played in the World Championships for Kazakhstan.
Later Career and Retirement
After playing for Barys Astana, Kevin signed with SKA Saint Petersburg in 2012. He played there for two years before returning to Barys Astana in 2014. He continued to play for Barys Astana until 2019. On August 5, 2019, Kevin Dallman announced that he was retiring from the KHL after playing there for 11 years.
About Kevin's Family
Kevin's uncle, Marty Dallman, also played professional ice hockey. Marty played a few games for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1980s. He also played for the Austrian national team in the 1994 Winter Olympics.
