Kharan (Balochi: ھاران; Urdu: خاران) is a town in the Kharan District of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is located at an altitude of 692 meters (about 2,273 feet) above sea level. This town is also the main office for the Rakhshan Division. Many different Baloch families and groups live here. A famous person from Kharan is Mohammad Noor Meskanzai, who used to be a chief justice for important courts in Pakistan.
