How Khary Got Into Comics
When he was young, Khary loved all sorts of "nerdy" things. This included comic books, video games, and cartoons. He found that these stories helped him escape from everyday life.
Khary always thought about how he would draw things differently. His first comic book love was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He read those comics until they almost fell apart!
A big turning point for him was when Image Comics started. The art in their early books, like Youngblood and Spawn, really amazed him. He thought the art was "next-level stuff." The artists seemed like rock stars, and Khary knew he wanted to be a comic artist too.
