Khristopher Adrian Davis (born December 21, 1987), often called “Khrush”, is an American former professional baseball player. He was a left fielder and designated hitter. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, and Texas Rangers. In 2018, Davis hit 48 home runs, which was the most in MLB that year.

Early Life and High School Baseball
Khris Davis was born in Lakewood, California. He went to Cactus High School and then transferred to Deer Valley High School. There, he became an All-State player twice. In his final year at Deer Valley, Davis was an amazing hitter. He helped his team win a state championship.
College Baseball Career
After high school, Davis played college baseball for the Cal State Fullerton Titans. He played as an outfielder, designated hitter, and pinch hitter. In his junior year, he hit .328 with 16 home runs and 58 runs batted in (RBI). This showed he was a strong player.

Getting Drafted
In 2006, the Washington Nationals picked Davis in the 29th round of the baseball draft. But he decided to go to college instead. Later, in 2009, the Milwaukee Brewers drafted him in the seventh round. This time, he signed and began his journey in professional baseball.
Playing in the Minor Leagues
Davis started in the minor leagues in 2009. He played for different teams like the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Huntsville Stars. He showed his power by hitting many home runs. By 2012, he reached the Nashville Sounds, which is one step below the Major Leagues. He hit well there, showing he was ready for the big leagues.
Time with the Milwaukee Brewers
Davis joined the Milwaukee Brewers in 2013. He made his first MLB appearance on opening day. A few days later, he got his first major league hit. After a short time in the minor leagues, he came back to the Brewers. He became a starting left fielder when another player was suspended. He hit his first MLB home run in July 2013.
In 2014, Davis became a regular starter for the Brewers. He hit 22 home runs and had 69 RBIs that season. In 2015, he continued to play well, hitting 27 home runs and 66 RBIs in 121 games.
Joining the Oakland Athletics
In 2016, the Brewers traded Davis to the Oakland Athletics. He quickly made a big impact. In May 2016, he hit three home runs in one game, including a special "walk-off grand slam" that won the game. This was a rare event in MLB history!
Davis continued to hit many home runs for the Athletics.
- In 2016, he hit 42 home runs and had 102 RBIs. He was the first Athletics player since 2006 to have over 100 RBIs.
- In 2017, he hit 43 home runs and 110 RBIs. This made him the first Athletics player to hit 40 or more home runs in two years in a row.
- In 2018, he led all of MLB with 48 home runs! He also had 123 RBIs, which was the second-most in baseball.
After 2018, Davis had some challenges with his hitting. In 2019, he hit 23 home runs. In 2020, he hit only 2 home runs.
Playing for the Texas Rangers
In 2021, the Athletics traded Davis to the Texas Rangers. He played 22 games for the Rangers before being released in June 2021.
Return to the Oakland Athletics
Davis signed a minor league deal to return to the Oakland Athletics in August 2021. After playing well in the minor leagues, he was called back up to the Athletics in September 2021.
Later Career
After his time in MLB, Davis played for other teams. In 2022, he played for the Diablos Rojos del México in the Mexican League. He also played for the Wild Health Genomes in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. With the Genomes, he hit 17 home runs and had 46 RBIs in 54 games.
Personal Life
Khris Davis's father, Rodney, also played baseball in a professional organization. He later became a scout for baseball teams. His mother, Sonia Davis, was born in Mexico.
