Keirsey, also spelled Kiersey, is a small place in Oklahoma, United States. It is sometimes called Mead Junction. Keirsey is an unincorporated community, which means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
Where is Keirsey?
Keirsey is located in Bryan County, Oklahoma. You can find it about five miles west of a larger town called Durant. To get there, you would take US Route 70 and then turn north onto a road known as N3680 Rd, also called Silo Road.
A Bit of History
Keirsey got its name from a local rancher named William D. Keirsey. This community even had its own post office for a while. The post office opened on June 16, 1904, and served the area until November 30, 1920.
