Her Life Story
Kikuko Masumoto was born in Japan. She loved music from a young age. She studied music at two famous schools. These were the Toho Gakuen School of Music and the University of Tokyo. After finishing her studies, she started teaching music. She taught at the Toho Gakuen School, where she had once been a student.
Her Music
Kikuko Masumoto writes many different kinds of music. She creates pieces for small groups of instruments. This is called chamber music. She also writes operas, which are plays set to music. Some of her music is also made for singers.
