Kim Yoon-ok (Hangul: 김윤옥) was the First Lady of South Korea from 2008 to 2013. She is married to Lee Myung-bak, who was the president during that time. She was born on March 26, 1947.

Early Life and Education

Kim Yoon-ok finished high school at Daegu Girls' High School in 1966. She then went to Ewha Womans University. In 1970, she earned a degree in Health Education and Management. This means she studied how to teach about health and how to manage health-related programs.

Family Life

Kim Yoon-ok married Lee Myung-bak on December 19, 1970. They have four children together: one son and three daughters.

Continuing Education

Kim Yoon-ok continued her studies even after university. In 1995, she completed a special leadership program for women at her old university. She also finished a top management program for women at Yonsei University in 1996. Later, in 2001, she completed another leadership program at Sookmyung Women's University.

In 2011, she became the President of the Alumni Association for the Women's Top Management Program at Yonsei University. This means she led the group of people who had graduated from that program.

Role as First Lady

As the First Lady of South Korea, Kim Yoon-ok supported her husband, President Lee Myung-bak. The First Lady often represents the country at various events. They also work on important social causes. Kim Yoon-ok served in this role for five years, from 2008 to 2013.
