Early Life and School
Kimberly was born in Kingston, the capital city of Jamaica. When she was five years old, her family moved to Toronto, Canada. Her father, Barry Huie, was an engineer. He was also related to the famous Jamaican painter Albert Huie.
Kimberly started acting while she was in high school. However, she decided to go to university first. She studied history and political science at the University of Toronto. After finishing her degree, she began her professional acting career.

Kimberly Huie has had a long and successful career in acting, performing on stage, in movies, and on television.
Stage Acting
Before she became well-known on TV, Kimberly was active in theater. One of her most important early roles was in a stage show called Urban Donnellys. She helped create this show with a group of other actors. In 2013, she also performed in a play called As Ever in Nova Scotia, Canada.
