Kimmarie Johnson (born Kim Marie Johnson on April 8, 1976) is an American actress, model, and businesswoman. She is known for winning the Miss Pennsylvania USA beauty pageant. In 2011, she also started her own skin care and beauty company called SkinGlow by Kimmarie.

Early Life and School
Kimmarie Johnson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She grew up in a nearby town called Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, where she went to Wilkinsburg High School. During her senior year, she completed a special program to learn job skills. She was even named Homecoming Queen in both high school and college.
When Johnson was ten, her parents separated. She and her brothers moved in with their grandmother and other family members. At sixteen, she helped raise her oldest brother's baby daughter.
After high school, Johnson studied elementary education and child psychology at California University of Pennsylvania. Later, she moved to New York City to start her career. Sadly, her oldest brother passed away in 2003, just before her son was born. Her mother passed away from cancer a few months later in 2004.
Career Journey
After college, Johnson worked as a flight attendant on international flights. During this time, a modeling agency in Pittsburgh signed her. She modeled for famous brands like Vidal Sassoon, Oscar de la Renta, and United Colors of Benetton.
In 1992, Johnson entered the Miss Pennsylvania USA beauty pageant. Even though she had no training, she won the competition. The next year, she represented Pennsylvania in the Miss USA pageant and finished in the top five.
Acting and Dancing
In 1996, Johnson moved to Los Angeles to continue her career. She modeled for brands like Lady Footlocker and also started acting. Her first movie role was in Dude, Where's My Car?.
To improve her acting, she took classes with famous coaches. She also discovered a love for dancing and took lessons to get better. Johnson appeared in TV shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Wanda at Large.
After her son was born in 2003, Johnson took a break from her career. During this time, she studied comedy at a famous school called The Groundlings. She returned to acting and performed in several plays, including an adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
Producing Films
Johnson also worked as an executive producer. She helped make the movie The Last Eve, which was directed by Young Man Kang. The film won awards at festivals, including Best Action Feature Film in New York.
Starting a Business
In 2011, Johnson used her knowledge of the beauty industry to start her own company. She created SkinGlow by Kimmarie, a line of skin care products. Her first product was a special shea butter, which is a natural moisturizer.
