Kimstad is a small town, or "locality," in Sweden. It's located in the Norrköping Municipality in Östergötland County. In 2010, about 1,510 people lived there. Kimstad is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) southwest of a bigger city called Norrköping.
Something important happened in Kimstad on September 12, 2010. There was a railway accident. A fast train, called an X 2000, crashed into a special vehicle used for working on the tracks.
