Norrköping Municipality (which in Swedish is Norrköpings kommun) is a special area in Östergötland County in southeast Sweden. Think of a municipality like a local government area. It's where people live and work together.
The main town, or "seat," of this municipality is the city of Norrköping. About 90,000 people live there. Norrköping Municipality is the biggest municipality in its county, Östergötland.
A long time ago, in 1971, the City of Norrköping joined up with a smaller area called Skärblacka. This created the new, bigger municipality we know today. Later, in 1974, another area called Vikbolandet was added. This means that 26 original local areas now make up Norrköping Municipality!
