Kina found success with her song "Girl from the Gutter." This song was played a lot on the radio. It reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. This chart lists the most popular dance songs.
After this, Kina released her first album on July 18, 2000. It was called Kina. This album did very well. It reached number 14 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. This chart shows new and rising artists.
Her next song was "Me," also released in 2000. It became very popular too. "Me" reached number 3 on the same dance music chart. Another song, "Have a Cry," was sent to radio stations. However, it did not appear on any music charts.
