Kinder Joy is a fun candy made by the Italian company Ferrero. It's part of their popular Kinder brand. This treat comes in a plastic egg-shaped package. You can split the egg into two halves. One half holds yummy layers of cocoa and milk cream with two small wafer balls. The other half has a cool toy and a tiny spoon to eat the cream! Kinder Joy first came out in Italy in 2001. By 2018, it was sold in 170 countries around the world.

What is Kinder Joy?
Kinder Joy is a special product from the Kinder chocolate family by Ferrero. It comes in a plastic egg that you can easily open. One side of the egg is sealed and contains a tasty treat. This treat has layers of cocoa and milk-flavored creams. There are also two crunchy cocoa wafer spheres inside. You use the small spoon that comes with it to enjoy this part.
The other side of the egg holds a surprise toy. This makes Kinder Joy exciting for kids. As of 2015, Kinder Joy was made in several countries. These include Poland, India, South Africa, Ecuador, Cameroon, and China. The main things used to make Kinder Joy are sugar, vegetable oils, milk, and wheat.
How Kinder Joy Started
Ferrero first launched Kinder Joy in Italy in 2001. It quickly became popular. It was then introduced in Spain in 2004. Germany started selling it in May 2006. China and India also began selling Kinder Joy in 2007. Later, it arrived in Australia and the United States in 2018.
Making Kinder Joy Around the World
In 2011, Ferrero opened a factory in Baramati, India. This factory started making Kinder Joy eggs. It also produced other Ferrero products like Tic Tacs. In 2015, the company opened its first factory in China. This factory is located in the Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou. Kinder Joy was the very first product made there. By September 2015, Kinder Joy was one of the best-selling candies in China. It even won an award for being a new and exciting product.
Kinder Joy also became available in Ireland in 2015. Ferrero started selling the eggs in the United Kingdom in December of the same year.
Kinder Joy in the United States
Kinder Joy was launched in the United States in 2018. This was important because its sister product, Kinder Surprise, was not allowed there. A law in the U.S. bans food products that have non-food items completely inside them. Kinder Joy solved this problem in a clever way. The food and the toy are in two separate containers. These containers are attached, but they keep the food and toy apart. This design allowed Kinder Joy to follow the U.S. rules and be sold in the country.
