History of Kingswood
Kingswood began as a settlement in 1906. It was named after the famous Kingswood School in Great Britain. This school was started by John Wesley way back in 1748.
Kingswood College
For a time, Kingswood was home to its own college. Kingswood College was founded by John Wesley Hughes. This college was an important part of the community. It operated from 1906 until 1934.
Post Office Services
The community of Kingswood also had its own post office. It opened in 1907, which helped people send and receive mail. However, the post office eventually closed its doors in 1966.
