Kion Smith was born on October 7, 1998. He is an American professional football player. He plays as an offensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the pros, he played college football at Fayetteville State.

Kion's Early Football Journey
Kion Smith played football at Lumberton High School. Sadly, he missed his entire senior year because of an injury.
After high school, Kion went to Fayetteville State University. He played in 20 college games there. His final season was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kion Smith was not chosen by any team in the 2021 NFL draft. This means he was an "undrafted" player. But he still got a chance to play!
Time with the Atlanta Falcons
After the draft, Kion signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons. This was his first step into the NFL. However, he did not make it onto their main team roster.
Playing for the Miami Dolphins
On September 6, 2021, Kion joined the Miami Dolphins practice squad. A practice squad is where players train with the team. They can be called up to play if needed.
He signed a special contract with the Dolphins on January 11, 2022. This contract meant he would stay with the team for the next season. He was later released by the team on August 30, 2022, but then he re-signed with their practice squad. He signed another contract on January 16, 2023, to stay with the team.
On August 10, 2024, Kion Smith had a serious injury. He tore his ACL during a preseason game. Because of this, he was placed on injured reserve for the whole season.
