History of Kiron
Kiron was officially planned and laid out in 1899. This means its streets and lots were mapped out for building. There are a couple of ideas about how it got its name.
One idea is that it was named after a place in China. Another popular story suggests the town was meant to be named after the Kidron Valley, which is mentioned in the Bible. However, it's believed that a mistake was made when writing it down, and the letter "D" was left out.
