Christopher William Young (born in 1994) is a British actor. He started his acting journey in theatre, where he was even nominated for an Ian Charleson Award. Many people know him from the Netflix fantasy series Shadow and Bone, where he played Jesper Fahey from 2021 to 2023. He also won a Scottish BAFTA award for his role in the horror film Out of Darkness (2022). Another one of his films is The School for Good and Evil (2022).

Kit Young's Early Life and School
Kit Young was born in Oxford, England. His father is Scottish, and his mother is Ugandan. He grew up in a town called Abingdon-on-Thames.
He went to Abingdon School from 2008 to 2013. While there, he was part of the Abingdon Film Unit. He also played the main character in the school's play Candide in 2012.
Kit Young was also a member of the National Youth Theatre. He had some smaller roles, including in the TV movie Walter's War. He also appeared in plays like Cinderella and Dick Whittington at the Oxford Playhouse. Later, he studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and finished his studies in 2017.
Kit Young's Acting Career
After finishing his studies at RADA, Kit Young took on the main role in a play called The Extraordinary Cabaret of Dorian Gray in 2017. He also joined a UK tour of the play The Real Thing.
In 2018, he played Octavius in a play called Julius Caesar. He also appeared in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and Macbeth.
Kit Young first appeared on television in 2019 with a small role in the show Endeavour. He also acted in a short film called The Devil's Harmony. In the spring and summer of 2019, he played Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream. His performance in this play earned him a nomination for an Ian Charleson Award.
In October 2019, it was announced that Kit Young would play Jesper Fahey in the Netflix series Shadow and Bone. This show is based on the popular fantasy books by Leigh Bardugo. Many people praised his acting in the series. The show ran for two seasons before ending. Kit Young has also been in films like The Origin and the Netflix movie The School for Good and Evil.
